Monday, I woke up with my sinuses bothering me. I have seasonal allergies and tree pollen is high. Coupled with the excessive grass mowing that happens every spring and a week of rain, I wasn’t really surprised.
But I felt like crap all Monday. Then Monday night I got vertigo and a sinus headache. And the cough. I know the vertigo is caused by ear drainage. My sinus headache changes sides when I lay down. And the cough is productive, but clear, and makes my skull feel like it is going to explode.
Tuesday it got worse, sore throat and hoarseness accompanied the other sinus crap. That’s when I found the great meme comparing the symptoms of seasonal allergies to bubonic plague and had to post it to the HJ Facebook page.
This morning, I got up really really early to call my doctor. The office opens at 8 and I was awake a half hour before. I finally have nasal congestion, my throat is less sore, my headache is somehow worse (we are getting to the point that it might start rivaling serious migraines) and is now in the base of my neck as well as my face, the cough still exists which makes the headache even worse, and I still feel “off,” a symptom of vertigo.
Sometimes, I hate Spring.
