Area 51 – Ignoring the Conspiracy

After reading up on some early civilization history the other day, I turned my attention to US history.  I’m not a huge fan of the topic, so I don’t read American history books very often, but I was feeling like I needed something a little different than weird sentences about how “humans have never needed to build villages under water.”

As I perused the book, I came to a chapter entitled Area 51.  For the time being, I am going to ignore all the conspiracy theories about aliens, crashed UFOs, reverse engineered technology, and whatever else I might have missed and just focus on Area 51, as a place.  Mainly because whatever they are doing behind the razorwire and soldiers with machine guns, they went about it the wrong way.

The reason why Area 51 is a great conspiracy, is because the government created the original conspiracy.  It is very hard to tell 400,000,000 people that it doesn’t exist when we have eyewitness reports, pictures, and videos of Area 51.  One of the alien-research-based shows even did an episode where you could see the armed guards watching the watchers with binoculars.

Furthermore, it isn’t exactly small.  The “imaginary base” is rather large, with runways and hangers and office buildings and guard shacks and fences warning that the use of lethal force is acceptable.  If the government had really wanted to “hide” Area 51, they would have given it a name like “Whocares Air Base” or “Fort Whatthehellever.”  I know Whiteman Air Force Base in Missouri houses a huge stock of nuclear weapons, I don’t visit it.  It’s less than two hours from my house and I have been in the area of it on countless occasions.  Not once in my 34 years, have I been near Whiteman and thought “hey, maybe I should stop and do a tour.”  (I don’t know if they do tours, I’ve never been curious enough to figure it out)

If they had tried to tell Missourians that Whiteman didn’t exist, Missourians would have flocked to the area… Just to prove that the government was lying and there was an air base there.  We would have photographed B-2 bombers and taken video of other planes coming and going.  We would be curious enough to post our own civilian guards to watch it, so we could figure out what they were doing behind the razor wire.

I’m done ranting; you are free to resume your thoughts about alien autopsies and reverse engineering at Area 51.

  1. There is a documentary on Netflix called, “The Hidden Hand”, which to me is one of the most blatant cover up attempts I’ve seen. They have all of these inside people telling you that they planted the lies of alien existence in the minds of people who claimed to have proof and that none of it is real. In my opinion, there is something definitely going on that the government is telling us. JFK inquired about the existence of UFO’s months before he was assassinated…you can marinate on that one for a moment…

    • I have no issues with conspiracies surrounding Area 51; regardless of the flavor of the conspiracy. My point was that it is also a good distraction. Everyone has spent so much time trying to dig up dirt on Area 51, that I believe that to be the conspiracy… That is why I used Whiteman in the example, we all know about the nuclear arsenal there and ignore it. It would be smarter to do alien autopsies and reverse engineering there than at Area 51.
