Explosive Dreams – An Update

I’ve been hard at work for the last several weeks on Explosive Dreams.  Unfortunately, it has been hard work.  I’m supposed to write about 1,500 words a day.  I’m lucky to get any.

Normally, if there’s a problem, it’s an Aislinn Cain problem.  She’s too much monster or she’s too human.  Not this time, this time, it’s my killer.

His chapters are hard to write.  He isn’t a serial killer, he’s a mass murderer.  Are mass murderers normal?  Is this guy going to work 8-5 and then when he gets done he comes home and masturbates in his basement with his gunpowder?  Or does he come home, have a beer and never think about his bombs until it’s time to build them and use them?  Or does he come home, tinker with his bombs for two hours, treating it like a model train set, before having dinner and watching CNN?  I just can’t figure him out.

Ugh… Maybe it’s time to stop, print it, read it and go from there.

  1. Printing and reading sounds like a good plan. Taking a walk might work well, too. Good luck!
