3 Days ‘Til Christmas

There’s three days until Christmas.  I prefer Halloween on the holiday schedule, but you don’t get a day (or two) off for it.  Christmas is more stressful.  There are gifts to buy, people to pretend you like, etc.

This Christmas is shaping up to be… interesting… in the sense of dysfunctional.  I am awake, in my living room, alone.  Where I will be sleeping again tonight.  See, my house is full of people coughing and running fevers.  Normally, I would be as sick as the rest of them, but all I have is a sinus headache.

I’m hoping the family is well by Christmas morning.  I don’t think I’ll hold my breath or maybe I will.  If I’m not breathing, I’m not getting their cooties.

We’ll see how it goes…

Until then, I will write my fingers off (I have lots of free time since everyone else is ill, not exactly the greatest way to look at it, but it’s all about silver-linings and unicorns).  I have two works in progress.  Both with finish dates in January.  No rest for the writer.
