1. Write Novel – Check

Last night, I finished writing Mercurial Dreams.  This morning, I’ll run spell check and then tomorrow the content editor will begin shredding it.

However, I always feel a little lost immediately after finishing a novel.  I spend a day or two wondering what to do.  Since I know the editing process takes three weeks, I hate starting something else.  If I start something, I’ll want to finish it and that isn’t really possible, because I will need to stop after I’ve started it to finalize the novel that has just come back with edits and suggestions.

Occasionally, I’ll bang out a novella while I wait.  I have one plotted out in my mind… But, I’m not sure I’m ready for that.  After all, next month is NaNo.  If I was smart, I’d leave the writing alone and wait for November to start writing again.  I love NaNo… 50,000 in 30 days is so my style of writing.  My NaNo novel this year is going to be Dark Legacies.  I work well under the pressure of NaNo, so maybe I can unstick my brain and get it written with the help of my fellow NaNoNites and the pressure of completing the goal.

I can’t play video games for the entire three weeks.  I like playing video games, don’t get me wrong, but I don’t think that even I can do it daily, nine hours a day for three weeks.

After I finish the spell check of Mercurial Dreams, I’m running Grammarly’s Word Plug-In on The Dysfunctional Affair.  That will be time consuming, but it still isn’t going to take three weeks.

So…  What to do the rest of this month?
