Cover Finished, Revisions Started, and Other Things

Well, my Dark Resurrections cover has been finished, which is good since the book comes out in less than a month.  I left it too long I suppose, but I kept thinking that things would fall into place.  They didn’t, but I’m a hopeless optimist.

Today, I start work on the edits to The Dysfunctional Honeymoon.  I figure I’ll be done with those in a few days.  I should have Dark Resurrections to edit very soon.  Still waiting on that second editor to get back with me.

Also, I start an interesting test today.  Anyone who knows me, knows that when I write, I smoke like a freight-train.  I’ve quit smoking in the past but always taken it back up when the urge to write really surged through me.  It is one of those activities that I have yet to learn to do without a cigarette.  Yesterday, I bought an electronic cigarette.  I’ll still be getting the nicotine, but maybe I can keep from smoking two packs a day when the writing is flowing.  I’ll report back on the progress of that…

My studio seems terribly dark today.  I have the lights on (which is not always the case) and yet it still seems dark.  I considered opening the curtains, but… I have a feeling that is the problem.  Storms are supposed to hit today.  I don’t think it is very light outside either.  Unfortunately, even with white walls and gold curtains, the room isn’t particularly light to begin with.  Add a spot of bad weather and well, it’s almost gloomy in here.

Even odder though, I came in to find it 57.6 degrees Fahrenheit.  It is supposed to be 80 today.  Yet, it’s chilly in here.  So do I turn on the heater for a few minutes, knock out the chill knowing I will probably have to turn on the air conditioner later (my windows face west and south… If I open them when it’s raining, the entire place will get drenched)?
